A peaceful demonstration calls for justice and liberation for the people of Palestine.
Dear Holy Covenant family,
When the world trembles — from political upheaval to personal grief — how do we hold fast to hope? How do we remain rooted in compassion when everything feels like it’s shifting beneath our feet?
In my latest blog post, When the Walls Shake: Faithful Resistance, I reflect on the story of Paul and Silas in prison — how even in chains, their faith stirred the very foundations. It’s a story of defiant praise, sacred disruption, and the kind of hope that sings even in the dark.
We, too, are called to be that kind of hope. Not the kind that denies struggle, but the kind that resists despair. The kind that claps with the beat of justice and shakes loose what keeps others bound.
I hope you’ll take a moment to read the full reflection — and share it if it resonates with you. Let’s be a people whose love shakes walls, not builds them.
Peace and Blessings,
Rev. Christopher Czarnecki
Senior Pastor, Holy Covenant UCC

Rev. Chris Czarnicki has launched a Substack blog — a digital space for spiritual reflection, justice-centered commentary, and pastoral presence. In just a week, he’s already shared three powerful posts, and in his latest, “When the Walls Shake: Faithful Resistance,” he reflects on Isaiah, Gaza, and the courage to respond with sacred compassion.
What is Substack?
It’s a platform where writers publish posts you can read online or receive directly in your inbox. You can subscribe for free, and there’s an option to leave comments and engage with the wider community.
We’re grateful that Pastor Chris is bringing his prophetic voice to this broader digital conversation — and we hope you’ll subscribe, read all three posts, and share them with those who long for faith-rooted insight.
As always, you can count on us to share each new blog entry right here in HCUCC Everywhere, alongside sermon highlights and Sunday worship resources.

This new digital home — hosted on the United Church of Christ’s national platform — brings us closer to our denomination while showcasing the heart of Holy Covenant: worship that inspires, ministries that act, and a community that welcomes all, without exception.

Holy Covenant is proud to support the Open and Affirming Coalition of the United Church of Christ in this national day of giving for LGBTQ+ inclusion, justice, and love.
This campaign isn’t about raising the most money—it’s about raising the most hearts. That’s why every $10 donation plays a crucial role. Each individual gift helps the Coalition qualify for national prize funding that supports the growth of inclusive ministries across the country.
